Resume: Liu Yuelun, male, Han nationality, was born in Youxian county, Hunan Province in May, 1957. He joined the Communist Party in December 1975 and held a doctor degree as a postgraduate.From Nov. 1973 to Feb. 1977, Liu Yuelun was an educated youth in a sate-run tea field in Qujiang county, Guangdong province and was a worker in the Fifth Railroad Engineering Section of Guangzhou in Feb. 1977 till Mar. 1978 and since then till Dec.1984 he was studying philosophy in Zhongshan University. From Dec.1984 to Oct.1989, he worked in the philosophy department and the department of administrative science of Zhongshan university as a teaching assistant and soon after, a lecturer. In Oct. 1989, he went to study in the School of Public Administration and Management of Liverpool University and got his doctor degree in Nov.1993, and from then till Apr. 1994, he served as deputy general manager of the Yuexiu Investment Company of Guangzhou. From Apr.1994 to June 1997, he was appointed deputy general manager of Hong Kong YIFA Company.

　　    From June 1997 to Aug. 2001, he became director general of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and director general of the Planning, Science and Technology Bureau of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone from then till Nov.2001. He was promoted to be Party committee member and deputy director of the Management Committee of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangzhou High-tech Development Zone, Guangzhou Export Processing Zone and Guangzhou Management Committee of Development Zone where he worked till July 2002 From July 2002 to Sep.2005. , he was Party committee member and deputy director of the Management Committee of the Guangzhou Development zones and bonded zone of Guangzhou and then was also temporary vice Party secretary of Luogang district, Guangzhou, and vice group leader of the preparatory group from June to September 2005.From Sep.2005 to Feb. 2009, he also worked as director of Luogang district and vice Party secretary of Luogang district, Guangzhou, besides the party committee member and deputy director of the management committee.

　　From Feb. 2009 to July 2010,he was appointed to be Party Secretary of Liwan Municipal Committee of CPC and director of the Standing Committee of Liwan Municipal People’s Congress. Since July 2010 till July. 2011, he became secretary of Tianhe Municipal Committee of CPC and he also worked as director of the Standing Committee of Tianhe Municipal People’s Congress.

　  From July. 2011 to Jan.2012, the post he had been holding was deputy secretary of Foshan Municipal Committee of CPC, acting mayor of Foshan City and the secretary of party group leadership of Foshan Municipal Government

　　From Jan.2012 till now, he is deputy secretary of Foshan Municipal Committee of CPC and mayor of Foshan City, and the secretary of party group leadership of Foshan Municipal Government.
