The fifth session of the 11th People's Congress of Guangdong Province will open tomorrow inGuangzhouand conclude on January 17. A new Guangdong Governor will be elected during the session.
The work reports of the Government of Guangdong, the standing committee of the People's Congress of Guangdong, the People's Court of Guangdong and the People's Procuratorate of Guangdong will be deliberated and approval in the Session. The implementation of 2011 budget plan of Guangdong and the draft version of the 2012 budget plan will also be deliberated.
What the government will do to transform the development mode and maintain a sustainable economic development of stable and healthy rather than the quantity of GDP growth; to build a happy Guangdong; and become a pioneer to benefit the people? which mentioned by Wang Yang, Party secretary of Guangdong Province in a Plenary Session earlier this month, are considered to be the hottest topics in the Session. (By Yan)
